Match the recording to the device
Use a portrait capture for a mobile interface and a wide capture for a desktop website. A wide dashboard squeezed into a phone becomes hard to read. Start with MacBook for a website; screen-only presentation and the wider device catalog require Pro.
Prepare one visible outcome
Capture the shortest interaction that demonstrates a useful result: complete a task, apply a filter, or reveal a finished design. Use demo data and remove notifications. A still PNG works when the interface does not need to move.
Build the scene
Open Device and select a Free device. Open Media or drop your file into the editor. Check the fit before selecting an animation. Use a simple Color or Gradient background so the interface remains the most noticeable part of the frame.
Export a small test first
Play the whole animation, then use Export to render an HD MP4 with Background set to Scene. Check that the result is readable and plays correctly. Use 4K for the final version when its resolution is useful; larger files take more time and memory.
Know when another workflow fits better
For a public website, signed-in users can capture a URL as a still image or a short browser recording and apply it to a device screen. The editor does not build a custom 3D model or automatically assemble a long narrated product tour. Use a general video editor when you need those additional production steps.
