Cookies and Browser Storage

1. Scope

This notice explains how freemockup.video uses cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and similar browser technologies.

2. Essential authentication storage

Supabase stores authentication session and refresh information in browser storage so you can remain signed in, securely refresh a session, and use account features. Removing it signs you out. Google may use its own cookies when you choose to visit Google for OAuth; those are controlled by Google.

3. Preference and application storage

• Theme preference: remembers light or dark mode until changed or cleared.
• Account UI state: caches basic signed-in profile/access information for navigation and interface continuity.
• IndexedDB drafts: temporarily keeps project snapshots and media on your device while an authentication/save flow completes.
• Session export state: keeps the current export handoff and return state for the browser tab/session.
• Export reliability: a first-party HttpOnly cookie named fmv_export_guest recognizes repeat signed-out exports for 30 days from issue, only on the export logging endpoint. It is not used for advertising or linked to signed-in account history. Clearing or blocking it resets guest recognition without preventing exports. A separate short-lived session queue retries up to five export reports for 24 hours.
• Legal-flow state: temporarily remembers a pending signup acceptance across Google OAuth.

These technologies are used to provide requested functionality and are not used for advertising.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics and any active Vercel Web Analytics or hosting analytics to understand aggregate page usage, product events, referrers, campaigns, and site performance. Google, Vercel, and hosting providers may receive technical request information such as IP address, browser, device, page, and referrer under their own service terms. We no longer store first-party product analytics events in Supabase.

5. Optional external content

Optional external video or media embeds are not loaded until you choose to activate them. Activating an embed may allow that provider to receive your IP address, device/browser details, and set or read its own storage under its policy.

6. No ad-targeting cookies

freemockup.video does not use ads-personalization tags or behavioral advertising cookies. Google Analytics is used for website and product measurement, not ad targeting.

7. Managing storage

You can clear or block browser storage in browser settings. Blocking essential authentication or application storage may prevent sign-in, drafts, project saving, preferences, or export handoffs from working. Signing out removes account UI state; account deletion also instructs the client to clear freemockup.video account and draft storage.
